Privacy, in plain language
We built this site to help families protect their private information — so we take yours seriously too. Here’s the short version of what we collect and why.
The short version
We collect as little as possible, we never sell your information, and your completed Legacy Map never reaches us — it stays in your own browser.
What we collect
If you write to us (a form or email): your name, email, and message, so we can reply.
If you buy a guide: our payment partner Paddle handles the order, payment, tax and invoice. We only receive the details needed to deliver your files.
Automatically: like every website, our hosting and security providers see basic connection information (such as your IP address) to keep the site running and safe.
What we never collect
Your completed Legacy Map, passwords, recovery codes, account numbers, or family account inventory. That information is yours alone — please don’t send it to us in a message.
Who sees your information
Only the services that keep the site running: our hosting and security providers, and Paddle for orders and payments. We may also share information with professional advisers, or with authorities if the law ever requires it. That’s the whole list.
How long we keep it
Only as long as we need it — then it’s deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or export your information at any time. Depending on where you live, you can also object to how it’s used or complain to your data protection authority. Just email us — we’re happy to help.
How it’s protected
Form submissions are stored securely and can’t be read by other visitors. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption and access controls.
Questions?
Email hello@digitallegacykit.com. Digital Legacy Kit is the data controller for information collected through this website — which simply means we’re the ones responsible for looking after it.
